This conference will address the approach to the evaluation of frequently encountered blood count abnormalities. It will also provide an update on the diagnosis and management of common and rare nonmalignant blood disorders. Combining the clinical and laboratory experience of Mayo Clinic faculty, we will illustrate the practical application of testing algorithms derived from the Mayo Clinic practice, showing how unnecessary, redundant, and costly laboratory tests can be eliminated while maintaining the highest quality medical care.
