110 110 people viewed this event.

The 100th Anniversary celebration event takes place September 9th, from 11AM to 3PM. Super Steel LLC owner/chairman Paul Luber, Sen Knodl, the Mayor of Mequon Andrew Nerbun (will be presenting Super Steel LLC with a city proclamation) will speak to employees, their families and invited guests.

Founded in 1923, with the dream of manufacturing new types of metal basement windows along with fireproof windows and doors, the first Super Steel facility was located at 4th and McKinley in Milwaukee. Over the decades, Super Steel gradually expanded into manufacturing metal cabinets, switch boards, air coolers for generators, and even bombs for WWII.

In 1965, Super Steel was purchased by Fred Luber, who moved the company to 2800 West Capitol Drive. As the company continued to prosper it outgrew that location and moved to Tower Ave in 1975. Over the years, it manufactured countless types of metal fabrications such as grain silos, GM dealership identification signs, and complex components for the locomotive industry that are still made today.
