Conservation of Architectural Heritage (CAH) – 7th Edition
Architecture is the magic stick that has shaped past societies. History and its archeological sites have always been a passion to many of us. This passion drives one to read, learn, explore and discover more. The more one knows about the glory of the world – s old civilizations, the more appreciation, and pride one feels. Unfortunately, our beloved archaeological sites are no more the same as they used to be. They are exposed to losing their glory bit by bit due to many erosion factors.
It was studied that the most common cause of archaeological site damage is actually the weather. Wind, freeze-thaw cycles, and rainfall are all examples of common causes of erosion. In addition to natural disasters like storms, volcanic eruptions, wildfires, and earthquakes can completely devastate a site.
Forming a risk management plan is recorded as one of the most effective ways for archaeological site protection from large catastrophes. Threats to the site should be assessed, and material susceptibility should be determined by archaeologists and conservators.
The International Conference on – Conservation of Architectural Heritage”(CAH) comes in its 7th edition. It is to be held in collaboration with Bergamo University. The conference has proven its success year by year, and this edition is going to stand out by discussing all the art and science of the heritage of architecture.
It is not only going to talk about the ancient greatness but also about how to preserve it. Today is our role to learn from the past and, most importantly, take care of it.
The conference is going to start by identifying all about the concept of architectural heritage and its history. Followed by this is the significance and effectiveness of heritage conservation. Last but not least is the guidance of its techniques. After that comes the management of such a topic. Lastly, the conference is going to discuss all the up to dated technologies and innovations.
Selected papers of the conference will be published in a book series under the title of Advances in Science, Technology, & Innovation (ASTI) by Springer. Others will be published in the Resource dings journal by IEREK Press.
