The IEEE Rourkela Subsection was established to promote the goals and activities of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) within the Rourkela, particularly in geographical region around the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela. The subsection supports professional development through technical talks, workshops, and short-term courses. This helps local as well as national professionals stay updated with the latest advancements in their fields. The subsection is constituted with a joint effort by electrical and computer sciences including EE, ECE and CSE departments. Being a premier institute, many other interdisciplinary departments such as mathematics, mining and biomedical are also associated with the technical activities of the IEEE Rourkela subsection. Hosting INDISCON at the IEEE Rourkela Subsection at NIT Rourkela can lead to a well-organized, impactful event with significant benefits for attendees, organizers, and the broader community.

IEEE 6th India Council International Subsections Conference (INDISCON) is technically sponsored by IEEE. The proceedings  of this event are likely to be listed in  prestigious databases such as Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), Ei Compendex, DBLP, Google Scholar, and many others.
