Cardiology in Colorado: A Case Based Approach to Echocardiography and Complementary Imaging Modalit

This case-based approach program will provide a case based approach to the integration of state-of-the-art 2-D, 3-D, Doppler and transesophageal echocardiography techniques and multi-modality cardiac imaging in clinical practice. The topics to be covered include diastology, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy and heart failure, application of TEE in clinical practice, and use of complementary multi-modality imaging in clinical decision making. Afternoon workshops will allow for interactive case-based sessions on valvular heart disease, hemodynamics, diastology, cardiomyopathy, and 3-D echo with a focus on integrating various imaging modalities to provide the highest quality of patient care.

The course is designed for the clinicians involved in care of cardiology patients, including cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, hospitalists, and primary providers who wish to gain additional practical experience in echocardiography and cardiac imaging. While state of the art content is provided for echocardiographers and cardiac sonographers, a range of general cardiology topics are included.
