Radio science encompasses the knowledge and study of all aspects of electromagnetic fields and waves. The International Union of Radio Science (Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale), a non-governmental and non-profit organisation under the International Science Council (ISC), is responsible for stimulating and co-ordinating, on an international basis, studies, research, applications, scientific exchange, and communication in the fields of radio science.

XXXVIth General Assembly and Scientific Symposium of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI GASS) is technically sponsored by IEEE. The proceedings  of this event are likely to be indexed in  prominent databases such as Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), Ei Compendex, DBLP, Google Scholar, and many others.
