With the development of internet technology and the deepening of urbanization, the research and development of smart cities are becoming increasingly common. The use of advanced information technology such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and big data for urban construction and planning can undoubtedly better improve the level of social development and enhance the sense of happiness in life. Academic issues surrounding smart cities and the technologies and systems behind them have also emerged.

In order to provide a platform for experts and scholars in this field to exchange and learn, 2024 International Conference on Smart City and Information System (ICSCIS 2024) will be held in Penang, Malaysia from March 15 to 17, 2024. The conference mainly focuses on the information system technology of smart cities and their design.
